Basketball Court Use:
Morning and lunch recess is the SAME (example: If 8th grade girls are on half-court in the morning, they are the only ones on in the afternoon.)
When Mr. Anderson comes out for intramurals, 8th or 7th leave the court. 9th can only keep playing on the makai side if girls do not want to play or agree to let a few boys play with them.
Rules:
- No more than 5 on 5
- Share playing time
- Rough play not allowed
- 1 ball per half court only
- If girls are not playing, 8th grade gets both half courts
- NO FOOD OR DRINKS ON COURT
If you do not honor the basketball court rules, you will have to serve a "basketball detention." Poor sportsmanship or unsafe play will result in a "basketball detention."
Basketball detention: means you will not be allowed on the court for a set number of days, depending on the infraction.
